MEDIA ADVISORY (Press Release) Two-for-one golf at Settlers’ Ghost when you help the Food Bank
In the spirit of giving this Thanksgiving, Settlers’ Ghost Golf Club is offering a two-for-one special for all golfers who bring in food items to help out the local food bank. Friday (Oct. 9) and Saturday (Oct .10) two golfers can play 18 holes at the spectacular Settlers’ Ghost club and pay for one of the rounds with a donation of two or more non-perishable food items or a cash donation to the food bank.
It’s the golf club’s way of helping the less fortunate in our region while giving golfers a great day out. Call the Pro Shop at 733-3595 and help Settlers’ Ghost fill the shelves at the local food banks this Thanksgiving weekend.

The BAGS Junior Golf Tour Visits Settlers' Ghost for Week 3

Barrie, Ont., June 12, 2011-Blustery winds and chilly temperature created tough scoring conditions for the BAGS Junior Tour players at Settlers' Ghost Golf Club. However, Barrie's Sydney Gallant proved equal to the elements as she fired a personal best 79 en route to capturing the girls title. In the Bantam and Junior divisions both Jordi Walker of Coniston and Barrie's Branson Ferrier backed up last weeks wins with victories shooting 82 and 74 respectively. Mississauga's Lachlan O'Hara out dueled Oliphant's MJ McKenzie down the stretch to take the under 12 Minor Bantam age group and, also entering the winners circle was Mitch MacLeod of Shanty Bay, who had little trouble with the conditions shooting a 77 in the competitive Juvenile division.
